So it has become Friday again. It is a bit windy, just as life can be at times. The saying to hold on to something could be a bit more clear. Hold on to what? A chair, an umbrella? What do one hold on to when life throws a curved ball? Well some hold on to things or people, but that could be tricky. How could that be tricky you say? Well things do wither and disapear and people come and go in your life. What will you do when your things are gone and the people you used to trust all are buisy with their lives? Whoms had will you hold when the storms of life turns into hurricanes and like to blow you right into the sea of disapear? Who can you allways trust to be there through it all?
I will give you a hint, he walks on water, can make water into wine and blind men to see. Oh and if you still are a bit unsure, He fed five thousand men with five loafs of bread and two fishes.
Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
It is a very good thing to remember, specially when that grain of sand has turned into a mountain. So when you feel that life is hard and that you are hardly above water You grab on to the Lord and He will pull you up. Maybe not right away, for reasons only He knows. But he will pull you up, because He cares. If you ever doubt that remember this: Matthew 6:26-34
26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?27 Which of you by worrying can add one [a]cubit to his [b]stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not [c]arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
It has been a long hot summer with a lot of fun with friends and family. Back to work and now fall has really hit. The weather is gloomy and today it has been raining. It is one of these days when staying in bed with a cup of hot tea and a good book or movie. But that is not an option at the moment.
Even if it is a less nice outside, I can still see the marvels in God´s creation. It is here in every raindrop and gust of wind I feel.

I have not been able to write until now. It has been some months since I wrote. It has been a lot of things on my plate. None in which I will write about. But time does fly! It is the first of June now and we have full summer. It is warm to be here. Life feels like it is fine. God is good!My lovely mother in law is comming in five days! I am so looking forward for that. (Yes I really do!)
This nice Friday evening we will have our good friends over for a bbq and our neighbours and also good friends will most likely join us. It will be a fun gathering. In the mids of all will Jesus be. Just as he said he would be.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
It sounds just great! What a promise!
But remember that He is with us even when we are just on our own. He will never leave us. So you are never alone. Remember that when it feels dark and the storm is howling around you
The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.”
With these words I wish you a blessed day and weeked!
God bless!

by Lady BirgithaTo day was a very beautiful day. The white snow on the ground and on the trees looked just so nice and the sky was light grey and a bit misty. It was not to cold, (if yo ask me). So while I wait for my tea water to be done I decided to write a short post. Just as it can be dry and unfruitful to walk on your own, going against what God want you to do, it can be quite cold as well. God is our refuge and shelter. When we do not have that we get spiritually dry, since we have no food to give the soul and we get cold because we have no shelter. God provides us with food, refuge and shelter and without it we will not make it. Psalm 18:2 “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
He is the one to turn to always and for everything. When we are cold, hungry and dry, we should come to Him and get warmth, moist and full. Hopefully we do not have to end up like that, but if we do, He will reach out and help us back up. He will lift you up and carry you through the tough times. You might not feel it now, but He is. We are His children and He will be there for us always. Just as it says in Psalm 91:11 “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;”
So let God warm your soul and heart on cold days and water you on the dry. Run to Him always and despair not. God is with you!
God bless!

by Lady BirgithaThis year has soon come to an end and a new one is about to begin…. This got me thinking about the real meaning of Christmas. (Not Santa or the gifts), but on Christ himself! John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
It is easy to forget with all the glitter and bling and hectic shopping, that the only reason we have this holiday is because God loves us so much that he gave us His only son. That is a huge gift to be given. And it is given freely to anyone that wants to get it.
It is a mesige of hope to the world that anyone that believes will get eternal life.
God bless!

This is something that has been on my mind on and off for a few years now. The judging of others, even if we do not even know them. We look at a person and make up our mind about that person, just after what we see on the outside. But we never know who the person really is. Yes I know you say: “Not me! I do not care what people look like.” But if a person with tattoos, long hair or spikes would pass you by you would think to yourself that the person should clean up and get a job. (Would it not be funny if said person would that very Sunday stand in the pulpit of your church and that said person was to be the new pastor!) 1 Samuel 16:7….for the Lord seeth not as man seeth. For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
With this I like to say that we are fast in judging others after what people look like. God however see what is on the inside and cares about that. We need to stop going after looks and rather go by what the person really is all about. If we are to show people the way to God, judging others are not the way. John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.
If we are to help people o come to the Lord, we need to show love and care towards the ones we are trying to reach. Nobody will come if we judge them by the looks and their past. (I wonder where Paul would have been if the other apostles and followers had not forgiven him and given him a second chance.) So instead of judging, show compassion and care. Who knows what can happen. Anything is possible when you put down the judging and let God lead with love and grace.
God bless!

by Lady BirgithaThere are times when you will have low tides and others with high tides. Remember that the low tides are the ones when we get to work on our faith to our Lord. When we are on our knees is usually when we find out how strong or weak our faith is. Just do not forget to continue to work on the faith on the high tides, so that the low tides will not feel so low.
These are thoughts I have as I look out the window this Friday in October. What I see outside is snow. King Bore with his court has moved in and will be staying for a while. But I know that after the winter, spring will come and then summer will be back. The same way goes for the high and low tides. The winter is the low tide and the summer is the high tide. So when we have our low winter tides we will relay on God more through prayers and praises. This is usually the best time to give ones life over to Him! If you already have, remember that and just as a child, go back to our Dad and let Him lead you again.
Just do not forget to continue to walk with Him when the high tide summer moves in. Continue to pray and praise Him. Read the Word to know Him and His will.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Remember that the path you are on is yours to walk with God and nobody can do it for you.
May God keep you and may His grace be with you!
by Lady BirgithaIt is a nice afternoon with a clear blue sky and the sun is bright. But here I am looking out on a construction site. I see a huge yellow crane moving things about and I hear men on the scaffolding. Just as the houses and other buildings here in my town are getting a make over, or a renovation so are we always being renovated or make overs. Besides the obvious difference of the buildings and us, there are things that are similar, like the scaffolding. The buildings have visible ones, but we have the ones that cannot be detected with mortal eyes. Our scaffoldings are made by faith and the trust we have for our Father. They are still there, even if we cannot see them. All of His children have them, since none of us are perfect and we still need to be worked with. Just as Paul speaks of in 1 Cor. 3:10–15 ” According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building on it. Each builder must choose with care how to build on it. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—the work of each builder will become visible, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each has done. If what has been built on the foundation survives, the builder will receive a reward. If the work is burned up, the builder will suffer loss; the builder will be saved, but only as through fire.
What do I mean with that? Well As Paul states, Jesus laid the foundation, we are the builders. We are building the temple of God behind the scaffoldings of faith and trust. We are building on the foundation laid by Christ when we turned away from our former lives and became new in Him. From that day when our new lives began God is building a new person. He laid the foundation with Christ and us as the building blocks of the church. He uses His Word as the glue and our faith and trust as the scaffolding as we are rebuilt into the new person. On each and every person in His family is a sign hanging: “Under construction, God at work. ” This means that we are not yet done. We will be, but not yet. We still have a very long way to go. But remember that God is at work with all of us. We are all under construction with a foundation that will never crack or be shaken. With Jesus Christ as our foundation there is nothing that can take us down.
God bless!
by Lady BirgithaIt is right now early on Sunday morning. I am as usual the only one awake. It feels great to be up when it is so quiet. Only in a few minutes all that will change. I am about to start breakfast for us and then we are going to attend church. It is me charging my batteries before the day gets going. I can really feel The Lords presence at times like this. (I feel it a bit extra in the mornings). Life is still at these moments, while others seem like a never anding hurricane. The later ones are the ones we have to put all our faith in the Lord and that He is the good and caring Father we know He is. This is the time for prayer, listening and patience. For we shout out to God, but we often forget to listen and then we become impatient. Instead we should have patience and pray, just as James 5:7-8 speaks of: “Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. 8 You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.” It can be hard at times to follow I know, so keep it as a reminder and do your best to follow.

This day is one of those days I wish I could remember that God has everything in control. This morning could have started better and my mood was more dark with bursts of thunderbolts. This is in short what happened: the school cab was late. (Not very unusual). But the thing that started to get me angry was the treatment I got when I called the cab company and they three times excused themselves with the line: Sorry I cannot hear you, hello! Hello! That was after I had stated my name and my reason to call them. When the cab finally came, it did not wait the time it should, so I managed to call and this time actually get to talk so someone that called the cab back. Now to make matters worse, the cab took its sweet time to get back, so when it finally got there for the pick up school have already started. This got my morning all off and I had to get my hair done at work.
All this got me thinking of the vers in Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God. I will have to practise this one a bit more it seems. To actually in the mids of turmoil seek the Lord and rest in His peace. I will take this as a lesson and learn it. I will do my best to cast my burden on Him, just as Jesus said in Psalm 55:22, Cast your burden on the Lord,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
And also in Matthew 11:28-29, 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
With these verses I hope and pray that I can stop getting so angry and loose energy over something I cannot control. Not that I will stop calling, or saying anything, just that it will be done differently in the future. I have started to see these verses in a different light after today. Praise God! Because when you have turmoil and hardship it will eat on you and drain your energy, but if you at the mids of it look for the Lord and pray you will let him take the steering wheel. By being still and know that He is God you will automatically cast your burden upon him. When you have done that you will feel more at peace with yourself and with the world. You are still you and you still have to deal with things, but it becomes easier as you can feel God moving in your life. I hope and pray I can remember this next time I have trouble eating at me.
God bless!
