So it has become Friday again. It is a bit windy, just as life can be at times. The saying to hold on to something could be a bit more clear. Hold on to what? A chair, an umbrella? What do one hold on to when life throws a curved ball? Well some hold on to things or people, but that could be tricky. How could that be tricky you say? Well things do wither and disapear and people come and go in your life. What will you do when your things are gone and the people you used to trust all are buisy with their lives? Whoms had will you hold when the storms of life turns into hurricanes and like to blow you right into the sea of disapear? Who can you allways trust to be there through it all?
I will give you a hint, he walks on water, can make water into wine and blind men to see. Oh and if you still are a bit unsure, He fed five thousand men with five loafs of bread and two fishes.
Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
It is a very good thing to remember, specially when that grain of sand has turned into a mountain. So when you feel that life is hard and that you are hardly above water You grab on to the Lord and He will pull you up. Maybe not right away, for reasons only He knows. But he will pull you up, because He cares. If you ever doubt that remember this: Matthew 6:26-34
26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?27 Which of you by worrying can add one [a]cubit to his [b]stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not [c]arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
